The annual Festival of Cultures celebrates its thirteenth year in 2008. This year the festival will be celebrated over the weekend of 26 & 27 July.
From its modest beginnings on the outskirts of Childers attracting only 6,000 people, the Childers Festival of Cultures now draws in excess of 45,000 people over the weekend.
A myriad of artists will be performing in the street and on various stages starting at 1.30 on Saturday with the Community Street Party. Sunday is Festival Day with over 400 Food, Wine & Craft stalls. ENTRY IS FREE!
Just one of the highlights of the Festival is the variety of food stalls on offer. As usual, there will be local produce and wines showcased as well as choices of German, Dutch, Vietnamese, Egyptian and Russian delights, and many more.
